Teacher Training Program
Through the Teacher Training Program, Opus 118 remains committed to fostering emerging music educators versed in the successful Opus pedagogy. Participants in the Teacher Training Program receive opportunities for classroom observation, co-teaching, out-of-classroom peer learning, and the mentorship of our experienced faculty. Through the Teacher Training Program, Opus 118 aims not only to offer hands-on experience and impeccable training to new teachers, but also to address a community need for additional excellent, skills-based music educators.
Throughout the academic year, Opus will place teaching interns alongside mentor teachers in each of our In-School Program partner schools, as well as in our After School Program. Each year, successful candidates who began as interns in the Teacher Training Program move on to become members of the Opus faculty! If you are interested in joining Opus 118 as a teaching intern, please email your resume and contact information to jobs@opus118.org.
